Window-Eyes 8.0: New Features Webinar Recording Now Available for Download!Hi
Chip:
It is a combination of 15 earlier tutorials I had created around 2005 when I
was thinking of using vb.net as a scripting language in conjunction with other
personal project development projects like my Investment Platform and other
productivity projects for daily living.
I dropped allot of examples and tried to make it more for experienced
programmers since I found that trying to teach programming to folks who had no
background in programming was more a task of teaching how to develop logic
flows rather than teach a programming language.
As a result it became too complicated for the raw beginner, I gave up trying to
use it to script WE and just turned it over to (I think Jamal) for posting
someplace.
If you want to extend it and do things like add links, perhaps for the long,
tedious, table of contents and, or, an index, I will be glad to go along with
that.
As for scripting my thoughts are that GW might have created wrappers to access
the full options of the unmanaged UIA API produced for Screen Reader Developers
and Users so we could work in VBS. That or go whole in and ensure all features
of WE work in external scripts properly with many, not one or a few, examples
in some popular external language.
As for the tutorial, how would you like me to send it to you?
I have it up on SendSpace or one of those file sharing places and I can get you
the link if it is still available or I can zip it and send it as an attachment.
It is good to hear from you and I hope you and the family are doing well.
