Hi Rick,
Not needed, I sent her the zip of just 2 files. She only wanted the vb
portion to compare with author solutions and did not care about the designer
file which shows my screen layout and such.
She never ran the programs, just compared the .vb file with the author. I
had posted it as a .doc file along with screen shots but that file got purged
some how. In other words my upload got erased.
It is a minor issue unless there is someone on campus doing it; which is
possible.
Thanks anyway, Bruce

Hi Bruce: I am assuming your instructor knows how to set the properties in
the zip file to allow a zipped project to be unzipped and loaded, I forget the
actual checkbox but they would right click the zip file and in the properties
near the bottom check the box to allow the file to be loaded, a security
thingy. Then click apply and then ok. I can look up the actual check box
property but I should guess your instructor knows about this. Otherwise some of
the files in the project get mucked up and some might not even get unzipped and
added to the project.
If you want I can go and get the step by step but I forget the actual name of
the checkbox to set that permissions property.
I turn off all the automatic display of parameters and intellisense and
errors and just use ctrl+space bar or ctrl+j to display the Intellisense if I
want it. Turning it off just stops the automatic dynamic display but you can
still use it with the hot keys.

Hi Rick,
Thanks, the professor said I got the highest score and I went back to
the list of uploaded assignments and one was missing entirely!
In other words 6 points lost and could have been higher. I had issues
with the web site the college was using and that assignment was uploaded but
purged some how...
But, the professor wrote me back yesterday and told me I got the
highest in the class...despite that missing assignment. I had sent her a zip
folder on that project to prove I had done it.
At least the 2010 is usable.
I at the moment don't want to load 2012 and find it messing up 2010 and
have to uninstall everyone. So was curious about what was found.
Sincerely
Bruce

Hi Bruce, good job.
I have not used 2012 but will look at it in the fall when I get a new
computer running Windows 8.
I was looking to see how accessible it was with WE, and if anyone else
had done anything along scripting lines.
Agai, very nice work with that class!

Hi Rick,
I was wondering about that Rick, what issues have you discovered
using 2012?
The 2010 is OK as long as all those special features are turned
off...
With all my issues and delays and crashes with 2010 I still managed
to get a 93.4% as a final grade. Meaning I was penalized from not doing a
perfect book author format and my software, along with Microsoft, not being
user friendly with what I have to use.
The semester is over and a good learning experience.
If you have tired 2012 let me know what the issues are before I
attempt using it.
