i wonder if there are any demo podcasts of window-eyes working on a
microsoft tablet. That would certainly be a good starting point for
those of us interested in the concept.

Current conventional wisdom from my perspective does actually favour
the iPad, but I know nothing of Windows tablets as it was my
understanding until now that Window-eyes could not run.

Hi,
Window-eyes works fine on tablets running Windows 8 or Windows 8 pro.
These are Intel based tablets. Window-eyes will not work on tablets
running Windows RT.
Also you'll need an external bluetooth keyboard as Window-eyes
doesn't work with the touch screen.
I'm currently running Window-eyes 8.4 on an Acer tablet.
