Hi!
Update on Breaking news
Version 2.7 of Breaking News has enhanced features for the history forward and
back hotkeys.
It now has Control-Left Arrow, Up Arrow, Down Arrow and Right Arrow for moving
through the history list without downloading the web page for viewing.
This allows you to choose which on the history you want to view next.
The Control-Up Arrow speaks the URL the pointer is pointing at.
Control-Down Arrow downloads the URL the pointer is pointing at and displays it
in the format it was originally downloaded in; list, text or had gone directly
to the URL.
Also added is the Control-Shift-Up arrow to allow you
to delete the the URL the history pointer is pointing at, thus removing it from
the history list.
Hopefully in the future I will enhace the viewing of the text of the web
site to make sure all text is displayed along with the nagging word wrap
feature which does not word wrap when using the hotkeys. You are forced to hit
the F2 key to word wrap the text you are viewing if you happen to notice there
was no wrap.
Maybe one of these days I will also get the alerts themselves working.
I have noticed that CNN and Breaking News are not updated a lot and if are
gets displayed in some other location. something which may be a pain...
I am striving for a browser to use without all the extra load times due to
functions and ads and such, leaving those options up to you after reading text
or watching/listening to a video.
I have noticed that Fox News has much more information than the other web
sites which is the reason why I placed that first on the list.
So, enjoy what you have at the moment.
Bruce
