Hi guys,

Yes, I can confirm not much scripting list traffic
as well. Regarding being blocked by GW Micro
servers, there is an internet spam evaluation
service called spamcop, and, if you get blocked,
your email will contain a reference to
bl.spamcop.net. Many servers take the
recommendations of the spamcop to determine
whether your address should be blocked. I do
believe that GW Micro uses the spamcop, but they
can remove you, as they did for my address once I
ask them to. I really depended on the email
address they were blocking, and so Bruce's idea of
using a different address, while an excellent
solution, seems too drastic for my liking.
Besides, no one should be punished for showing up
on a list due to malware's presence on their
system. The spamcop was no doubt instituted to
help the free flow of internet traffic, but once
malware has been remove from a user's system they
should be given the opportunity to rejoin the
internet community once again. Indeed, the
spamcop does possess this forgiveness mechanism
built into it. Sometimes, however, you just have
to stand up for your rights when it comes to
working with particular servers. I hope all this
helps, and, at the very least, all knowledge is
power. smile

With respect,

Rod

Hi Rick,

I got nothing since July 30 so you are OK on
that. I also a long time ago got the same thing
from the info list and had to change my email
addresses.

I suspect that someone has hacked your address
book and is sending out fake stuff from there. But
that is only a guess.

Can not answer the office issue since I have
not bothered with that until I have lots of time
to do it. Same for all my apps which need upgrades
on all of them.

Subject: WE, Office and gw-info list question

Hi:

First, is the gw-info list down - my messages are
getting rejected by the server.

Second, Is there a kb article on how to get WE to
recognize the WE Evaluation version once office
365 has been installed or can you give me some
keyword to use to search for it someplace?

I do not recall getting any e-mail from gw lists
over the weekend, could be wrong but not sure so
this will also be a test to see if the scripting
list is working if I get the message back in my in
box as well as any answers.

Thanks:

Rick USA
