Finding strings on web pages.
I talked about this off line with Chip Orange but Marc Solomon requested I
query the community.I wrote a script that finds a string on the screen and
moves the mouse pointer to it.This is something that the Jaws Findstring()
script function does.  Also Window-Eyes and Jaws does this with their search
dialog.I use clips and clip methods to do this. This works fine in MS Word and
Notepad.  It does not work on a Web page.  I use  I E 11  and  W E 8.4.Is there
a W E object model solution for this regarding Web pages?  Am I missing
something?  Will it work in W E 9.0 ?Paul Bonarrigo

OK, I forgot how to do it but wanted to know what the procedure was to extract
WEBM files instead of loading or adding the apps?

I seemed to have lost or can not find that simple procedure, so can anyone
help?

Bruce,

Rename the .wepm file extension to be .cab, and then use a decompression
package which handles .cab files to extract everything.  I use WinRAR for
instance.

I believe there's a native way in Windows to extract .cab files, but don't
recall what it is, so if you don't have any compression software packages,
you may have to search the internet  for this.

Hi Chip,

OK, I noticed if i wanted to extract my files when renaming it it does it
one file at a time using Internet Explorer, which is a pain with my game
programs having over 60 files and it does each one at a time.

The notebook I am using has no extractor so will have to search the web.
    thanks, Bruce

Hi Chip,

I finally remembered how this discussion went before. It is the 7-zip
program, free software, that should be used by anyone who wants to extract
there wepm files.
Since this notebook I am using at the moment had to have XP installed again
it did not have that program on it.

So for anyone to do this they first
1) Download 7-zip then install it.
2) Change the .wepm to .cab then
3) hover over that file name and just go down the files menu to 7-zip and open
it and the extract files will be on the menu.
4) Extract the files to your desired folder.

Also there is a PeaZip but did not bother with that one. 7-Zip works just
fine.

Hi Again Chip,

I found out something very interesting and by getting all my files
extracted and running my Trek Game I discovered that the MoveFiles program,
titled TrekMoveFiles.vbs did not have the path correct for the .exe file.

When running the program it placed it up one level from that folder with a
folder name attached; missing the '\'.

This did not effect the game from the loading the app using .wepm but does
when doing the extraction manually.

For I have advertised this program as portable and it will not under this
state, unless the person finds the .exe in the above folder with the folder
name attached to the .exe name.

So, an upgrade is due and will change it along with the update.
So now have to check the battleship game and see if it has the same problem
as well.
