> indicator-messages causes the Messaging Menu to display the blue "New Message" icon when any messages are received
That's not true, the messaging menu will only turn blue if an application specifically requests it. This is a bug in gwibber, which shouldn't request it if the "only notify for direct messages" preference is checked. ** Project changed: indicator-messages => gwibber -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Gwibber Bug Heros, which is subscribed to Gwibber. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069188 Title: indicator-messages Disobeys gwibber-preferences Notification Preferences Status in Gwibber: New Bug description: Ubuntu 12.10 i386, indicator-messages v12.10.4 I have gwibber-preferences set to only notify me about replies or direct messages, but indicator-messages causes the Messaging Menu to display the blue "New Message" icon when any messages are received. I do not see any way to effect this setting, but I should only have to do it once, and in gwibber-preferences makes the most sense to me.
