Hello, I'm fairly new to your software so I have a question. I want to determine the lateral mismatch of two images therefore the shift of one image in x and y direction in respect to a reference image. The manual told me that the function "crosscorrelation" under "multidata" should be what I am looking for though the results that came out of it aren't what I expected. I really can't retrace what the function is doing.
For example, if I correlate two images where the second one is the same as the first one but shifted along the x axis, I would expect the result to be an image with a bright peak at the point where I have to set the second image to make it fit the first image. Maybe I'm completely wrong with that. I hope someone can give me a helping hand on that. Thank you in advance!
