As for your problem, perhaps it has something to do with the following funky line(s) in your data file: \Note: 1:20 dil ^M^M 0.01 % fresh alpha DM 24 after deposition^M Did you add some notation somewhere like this? Maybe try getting rid of that (in the nanoscope software) because it could be causing gwyddion to jump out of the image section before it gets to the Samps/line entry...
