I sent a mail pretty empty.

The question was: is there a simple way to set the value for all the masked
pixels to a value, e.g. to zero ? I'm actually extracting the mask and
multiplying it by the original image but because I'm working with a large
number of images, I would prefer to have a shorter way, not opening new
windows.
Do you have some hints ?
