The sampling step is equal to the pixel size (also for for oblique lines although here it holds approximately as the number of samples taken is an integer so, more precisely, the sampling step is such step that the profile length is an integral multiple of the step and of these it is the closest to the pixel size). I have always thouhgt the number of curve points is displayed somewhere but since I cannot find where, it probably isn't. I will think where and how to display such information.
