It's been some time since the last discussion, so... I do not like such warnings/questions hence I will not implement it. Patches implementing this feature (and not breaking other things) are welcome provided they permit to choose the current behaviour. Be warned that finding out whether a file has been modified or not might be somewhat convoluted.
