Hello all,

New to this mailing list and Gwyddion but did some searches and
hopefully it will not entirely be a silly question.

I'm looking into blind reconstruction (had a look through
Villarrubia's paper) and I wanted to something similar as Fig.6 but
instead of topography we would be looking at potential, thermal and
other.

So I thought what could be a good starting point is to make up an
ideal sample and an ideal tip and convolute them with Gwyddion.

I'm fairly sure I can do some ideal sample in some way but I'm
having trouble with the tip. I'm working with gwydump to find out the
structure of the gwy file: if I find the data for a tip I think I
would know how to get it out.

But how to I put in a tip model made up by myself? In a gwy file or
any other file that gwyddion reads? How would it recognize it as a
tip?

I tried importing a previously generated tip (by gwyddion) from a txt
file but I must have missed some parameters. And if I managed to
import the file would gwyddion recognize it as a tip?

Thanks for your time and Gwyddion!
