I wrote gwybatch some time ago in response to a similar question but it
had been quite hard to find.

The main difference between these two examples is that gwyiew shows how
to display data in a GUI, whereas gwybatch is a puerly command line
program that works even if no display is available (which requires some
care in the initialisation code).  So which one is a good starting point
for your own program depends on what you intend to do.
