Dear All,

I am trying to measure the radius of a curved surface from a
tapping-mode image. Since this is generally subjected (as was mentioned
also in the list here) to numerous errors, I have taken measurements on
a calibration grid, from which I have determined global scaling factors
for X, Y, and Z. From these, I generated a calibration set using 'Data
Process->Calibration->Create'.
Now I wish to rescale the data of the curved surface with this
calibration set. Therefore, I perform 'Data Process->Calibration->Apply
to Data'. Once this is done, indeed a 'C' is displayed in the Data
Browser window, but the XYZ scales are still the same. Also, when I try
to perform a radius fit ('Level->Fit Sphere' or 'Level->Curvature') I
get the same values with and without applied calibration.

So, I was wondering if I am probably missing something regarding the
calibration or, if not, if it was possible to implement simple global
scaling factors for the X, Y, and Z directions that can be entered and
apply to all data for the current set.

Best regards,

Rene
