If you mean automatically then I would say hardly, at least if your SEM micrographs look like what I have seen. But a manual estimate using the Distance or Profile tool should only require loading the images with correct dimension scales (can also be fixed with Dimensions and Scales after loading) and choosing a good location where to measure the distance on the image interactively. Depending on the images, you might also want to use an edge detection filter beforehand.
