hi yeti,
I tried to unreval the import routine of gwyddion regarding nanoscope files, but I failed. Could you help me understand the data stored in the binary part of the data file? I am working on a fast routine to process large amounts of data. The example file I work on has 6 channels, with a resolution of 256x256 points. The number of points I extract from the file corresponds to 18 scan images with 256x256 points. This confuses me a lot. Even if the x-data are stored along side the y-values...one should expect a number of points sufficient for 12 scan images. Further, are the y-data scaled by the value stored at "\@Z magnify: C [2:Z scale]" <scale_value> ? I am glad for your help!
