In the famous Rex Harrison/Audry Hepburn film version of My Fair Lady, one can see the elaborate hat styles and clothing patterned after the Ascot Races. Of course, it is Hollywood’s interpretation. We once did a My Fair Lady theme for a horse event’s food tent. All the decor was black and white, including our butler’s aprons,which we bought at a tag sale. Always on a tight (or zero) budget, we reused the black and white articles in later years by adding other colors to that year’s theme. I make that comment because I know that costumers are very familiar with recycling items in their projects.
