There are 1/8" grommets out there, which would probably be small enough: https://grommetmart.com/product/122/spgw-17-1-8-inch-selfpiercing-grommets-washers-500pcs-of-each.html
and the slightly larger 3/16" ones: https://grommetmart.com/product/216/smgwpw-00-3-16-sheet-metal-grommets-and-plain-washers-144-sets-.html . In both cases, you might be able to use setting tools that you already have, but if not, the dies and setting machines are pretty expensive for the 1/8" size (and can be found at the same website; just look at the links below each product). The 3/16" size has a matching hand tool that's much less expensive: https://grommetmart.com/product/1002/00-hand-tools-for-3-16-sheet-metal-grommet-and-plain-washer-included-cutterand-cutting-teflon.html Based on Sempstress's warnings, they might be well worth the cost (although she's so very right about not using a hole-cutting die): http://www.sempstress.org/skill/setting-eyelets-for-doll-clothes/ -E House On Wed, May 1, 2019 at 8:31 PM Wicked Frau <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > FYI, thank you for making me learn some thing new...that link made me > > really look hard at how those eyelets are sewn on...now I want to > > investigate the history between the two.@ > > > _______________________________________________ > h-costume mailing list > [email protected] > https://indra.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/h-costume > _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] https://indra.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
