So, what do you think? I have done so much reading that my head is
spinning with details. I don't see a lot of recreation in 1530, moreso in
the 1540 range, where there are some changes. I wish I had more non-royal
sources as I really don't need to be that high of class and I'd like to
know where I can legitimately skimp on the details. I'm just looking for
some feedback and corrections as needed because I want to go fabric
shopping within the week.

OK, I've been looking through my files and for an example of a 1530s non
royal portrait I've found this 1536 portrait of Elizabeth Widmerpole by Hans
Holbein (I couldn't resist it as it's so close to my own name)

wrinkle beneath her bust which shows that unboned bodices are period. This
sketch of Mary Zouch from the 1530s shows the French Hood as worn in England
at that time http://au.geocities.com/e_walpole/maryzouch.jpeg (as the 1540s
style of hood is slightly diferent as is the French version and the only
other reference is Anne Boleyn) I can't work out where I got these images
from originally so I've put them up on my website, apart from the wrinkle
under the bust the portrait of Elizabeth Widmerpole is very similar to the
portrait of Mary Boleyn I posted in my last message

kirtle's neckline is not decorated (if you run short on time or money to
bead your kirtle's neckline).

at Holbein's sketches (though only a few of them are on this site, I used to
know a site that had all of them but I've changed computers and haven't
transfered my favorites yet) These are all the non royal 1530s portraits I
can find, but if I come across any more I will let you know.
