Cotehele House is a lovely National Trust site which we visited many times while we were living on the UK mainland, and our oldest son was posted to a Seaking Squadron at RNAS Culdrose. I do agree with you - Cornwall in Summer is lovely, but for the rest of the year, I'd leave it to the Cornish Folk to "enjoy" the rain, and the cold, and the winds.
