Alas, I don't actually own a dummy. Yet. But I do early 13th c. and 9th c. England, so I really don't need one although I've been contemplating one anyway.

My current project, a 9th c. Mercian overgown, is on the couch*, along with my embroidery basket. It's a lovely rust-colored wool twill, and there were just three yards of it so unfortunately I've had to do some creative cutting to imitate a 40" fabric width. The trim will be a combination of a very dark green very lightweight wool (I describe it as a very green shade of dark) and some nifty scrolly viney fabric that started life as decorator fabric and has now become trim. If I could find my neck facing pattern I'd be all set.

*the residence of both current projects and homework until the college student tenant moves out and I can turn her room into an office
