Except for black. You can _paint_ silk black, but dyeing it black is a
nightmare.
I've dyed silk black before with no trauma--I used one of the Jacquard
silk dyes from Rupert, Gibbon, and Spider. It helps if you have access
to a dye vat, which I did. And steam setting afterwards can be important.
