Thanks very much, Kate! I come from a town in New Jersey that celebrated its 300th birthday in 1963. We thought it was a big deal, but the towns of Europe certainly dwarf that. Come to think of it, what a nice celebration we could have had if we had staged an event in the clothing styles of 1663. I wish period reenacting had been a "thing" back then....
