Headless Annie was wearing the last of a half-dozen "peasant" blouses I
made for around-the-farm wear; now she is draped in 8 yards of cream-colored
raw silk with a woven "plaid" texture that I love, but can't decide what to
do with...

  The work box and embroidery frame are holding a rushnyk for a large icon
stand, being worked in traditional Ukrainian cross-stitch patterns and
blackwork;

   The work bag is filling with "5 hour baby sweaters" + caps + booties to
be sent to a "mother and child" clinic in Romania (great way to use up the
yarn stash, too!) assuming they all come out in sizes that will fit actual
babies;

   But daytime hours (when not beguiled away from work by the computer) are,
at this time of year, for "redressing" the house - time for all the summer
lace curtains, etc, to come down, and the draft-blocking drapes, wall
hangings, quilts, rugs, etc to come out of the cedar chests....
