I like to unravel cool thrift store sweaters and re-use the yarn.
It's often the funkiest non-wool (=machine washable) yarn I can find
for day-to-day sweaters,  Or it's pre-made cuff ribbing for something.
 Or it's exotic sock yarn, if I start with a wool sweater.
