Kathleen,

I too harvest needles. I gently squeeze my beloved "W" pincushion (a gift from my dear friend Kayta), and they poke right out (usually at me-- hence the gentle! squeeze).

Happy New Year's Needle Harvest!

Don't know about how folk regain their needles lost (Horrors Mrs. Antrobus!!) but I performed the yearly exercise of searching all my pincushions for misplaced or needles in hiding.? Searching "5", guess the Harvest is about 5/6 dozen steels reclaimed.! Yarn, sharps, beading, upholstery, sails, embroidery and so forth.? yeah; hardly a speck of rust among them.
