The drawers have layers of ruffles on them.  I believe this style started in
the 1950s when there was a big craze or film version of antebellum dresses.
Pre-1980 the dresses were a 3-tiered (no ruffles) skirt of chiffon in
pastels.  The hat had no ruffles but more like a sun bonnet. The parasol was
plain and the color of the dress.
