I just did "Amadeus" and two of my actors showed up with those white long socks/stockings/whatever they're called that hospitals use to keep your circulation going. They come up over the knee and are opaque and don't run. The actors (one was 5'-8, 300 lbs, and the other was 6'-3, 200 lbs.) said they were comfortable.
