My list usually tends heavily toward books, too. This year I'm planning to ask for Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion: 1660-1860 (believe it or not, I've never even read it!), and a V&A book called 19th Century Fashion in Detail that apparently has gorgeous photographs.
