For what it's worth, I glued rhinestones onto my daughter's socks when she was 5 or 6. They lasted through numerous machine washings for a few years, then got passed on to another little girl who also used them a lot. I think the socks failed before the glue did. I used Aleene's Jewel-It Washable Glue. Great stuff! Sharon C.
