I found this in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography:

"Pepys saw Nell again on 1 May 1667, standing at her lodgings' door in Drury Lane (off Bridges Street, the site of the King's Theatre), ‘in her smock sleeves and bodice … she seemed a mighty pretty creature’ (Pepys, 8.193)."

Please, I'd very much like to know what Nell Gwyn was wearing: can anyone suggest an illustration which might help?
