Hi,

I hava a database that is about 160 mb in size and its index about 90.
This is weird because usually the indexes of this kind of database is
about 1.3 larger than the data file. What is also curious is that it
takes a long time to 'connect' to the database.

I script the database and then runscript to recreate the database. It
corrected the problem: the database was then 80 MB and its index size
96 mb AND it opens very fast.

Why is that? What was the problem of the database? Is there a way to
do this 'repair' automatically? I can send you the data file of the
original database for testing.

Thanks,
