The idea is that at some point, when the market share of H2 is high enough, commercial support will be available. There were some requests for commercial support already, but I think not enough so far. That doesn't mean that the current "free support" will go away, only that there commercial support is available additionally. Then I got hired by PointBase Inc. They first told me I will continue with Hypersonic SQL, but then they told me to stop...
