I just noticed this today, I was breaking in my new MacBook AIR and the DB just wouldn't start up. It would hang on startup. I tried the testNetwork and it did the same thing. My hosts file is OK.
Finally figured out that H2 was binding to my VPN DCHP assigned IP rather than my local IP when the VPN was enabled. Is there any way to prevent this from happening or will I have to write code to get around this? The ifconfig output shows definite differences so it's easy to tell that it's attached via VPN.
