A couple of years ago I remember a discussion about implementing "COMPACT ONLINE" The idea was to use the same functionality as "shutdown compact", but instead of shutting down the dbms, simply do: * Take database wide lock * do-Online-Compact (possibly with a "maxTime" limit) * Release any locks The old thread is here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/h2-database/EF4xBA4eqn8 Where there also was a "patch file" (which I don't know worked or not) Has anyone looked at the "COMPACT ONLINE" command since then?
