I agree, the default should probably be to hide unpublished posts. However, there needs to be a way to preview posts (both in draft and multiple). As I outlined previously, this functionality is needed to make sure content is formatted correctly in complex layouts.
I do not care how this is accomplished: core option, link from admin, plugin – all fine.
