I agree according to the letter of the procedure, but disagree according to the spirit of accomplishing releases, for whatever values of $release. This release has been informally announced for at least 10-14 days, and I think that yesterday Owen telegraphed some intention to run a "2-minute offense" against it today. I think there was some consensus in fact if not in official vote built around releasing an 0.6, as the votes now show, however hurried or post-dated they may be. There is no justification for procedure as procedure, but only as an aid to efficiency. [[ This discussion has been settled, but gmail didn't like my contribution to it much a couple hours ago.
