OpenID is just a replacement for username/password. So we should somehow magically be able to figure out a user's username and password when they visit our site? You need to enter the details initially, but after that they should be able to move between site's without having to enter their URL each time - its remembered.
I wonder how well auth chains will work though... habari -> caius.name -> myopenid seems a little slow.
I use mine all over the place and its not that slow, obviously making 3+x HTTP calls is slower than just entering your password, but then moving between say basecamp accounts takes a second or so, whereas I'd have to enter a new username/password without openid - so the tradeoff is worth it.
