There's an organization that is local to me, the Philadelphia Area New Media Association, that is putting on a "CMS shootout" on Feb 21. (x-apple-data-detectors://34) Obviously, as a minor player on this stage, Habari wasn't invited to participate. Here's the link:
http://asym.us/14HtTXl I had this idea of somehow crashing the party. I'm not exactly sure how it would go down, but done properly, it could get a bunch of people at least looking at Habari in an interesting light. I will very likely be at this event. Some ideas I had: • Printing some postcards with Habari URLs and propaganda to hand out at he meetup. • Simulcasting a commentary track via Google Hangout of how Habari can do all of the things they talk about at the meetup. • Setting up a temporary hosted version of Habari for attendees to try out between speakers. • Make some videos of Habari doing what the presenters will be doing that night. • Posting some case studies of Habari in use for business. • Making a bunch of "Go Habari!" pennants for attendees to wave during the presentations. • Throwing tomatoes at Brad Williams whenever he says "WordPress". Do you have ideas that could help spread the news of Habari? Contribute your ideas to this thread or offer your specific help to a task and maybe we can get some converts. This is definitely something fun that non-technical folks could help with.
