I've lately started to run into the same situation. Ah. The price of success. :)
I've been looking at a way to integrate Jambo with Habari's spamchecker plugin, but haven't done so, yet. I'd hate to have to duplicate spamchecker's code in Jambo. Spamchecker, defensio, and mollum all use the same hook to check for spam, so we may be able to capitalize on this.
