As an aside, for me, the language changes to "en" when set to default. It doesn't keep the value "default". But I'm running a 0.10-alpha, so that is propably not related.
Also, even if the settings are empty, the fields in the manage posts view are not empty, though I have no idea where the format it uses in that case comes from. Just to make sure, Scorpion, do your posts really have a published date? Am Freitag, 21.
