Creo que sería interesante dar una pequeña charla/demo sobre este nuevo protocolo, ya que va a dar mucho de qué hablar en un futuro próximo. Por dejaros con una pequeña definición: WebSocket is a web technology providing for bi-directional, full-duplex communications channels over a single TCP connection.
