Is there a plan to provide an option to enable metrics (both system and
application level) collection on the JobTracker and NameNode from TaskTrackers
and DataNodes respectively? Visualizing this data can help us understand what
is happening on the various nodes in the cluster in terms of CPU, Memory, Disk
Utilization, Network IO etc and possibly spot issues when cluster performance
degrades.
Any thoughts on this are welcome.
