The 0.16 feature freeze will soon take effect (Friday end-of-day).
No patches will be accepted for 0.16 unless they are either:
- "blockers" (regression bugs that break important
functionality; unintended incompatible changes)
- documentation improvements;
- changes to a contrib component
*Committers*, please work on committing patches in the next few
days. Our current backlog is an unhealthy 28 patches. Clearly, some
of these will conflict and need new patches.
Let's delay branching for 0.16 and hold off committing 0.17 patches
to trunk until all the current patches are committed. That way we
can avoid having to merge all these to the branch. Okay?
