Thanks, Clive, for the help. But I ought to have made it clearer why I wanted it. I am going to visit a 90+ year old cousin in Budapest. I was expecting to go in May and now shall probably have to go the week after next. She is deaf and cannot hear me. I know from experience that if I can lower the pitch of my voice, deaf people can hear me. My late uncle could only hear me when I had laryngitis!! So it has to be hardware and software sadly will not do. Tho' I might use Audacity to record some tapes for her!! I would also like to be able to ring her up. But that doesn't have to be in ten days time.
