I have a couple of Netgear Stora NAS drives which I've hacked open as per http://www.openstora.com/ and I now want to automate backups with them (the Storas are basically headless Linux boxes with RAID 1).
I also have several portable USB drives that are smaller much than the NAS capacity that I want to use for backing up the Storas. What I want to be able to do is have udev on the Stora detect when a USB is plugged in, and based on which USB drive it is, rsync backup some files to it. I'm okay writing udev rules but I wonder if anyone has come across any interesting scripts to do this? Regards Peter Andrijeczko
