For my 2 cents, I just use a USB SATA disk docking station and several bare
SATA drives - the docking station is about £30 and with a 1TB SATA drive now
being £50 or so, it makes for a fairly cheap and reliable solution/

On a similar topic, does anyone have any good scripts or application
recommendations for backing up a large hard disk to smaller drives?

I'd like to find something that works out the space occupied by each
directory on the big hard disk and then intelligently backs up to smaller
drives based on their capacities and the size each directory occupies.

Regards

Peter
