Greetings Comrades! Coming from DEB world, I was wondering how do RPM comrades prefer to have their kernel compiled.
Usually I would use kernel-packge like this: 1. Download the kernel version that I want 2. Copy /boot/config files over 3. Make oldconfig 4. make-kpkg --rootcmd fakeroot clean && make-kpkg --rootcmd fakeroot --initrd --revision=mykernel.1.0 kernel-image 6. out for lunch 7. Come back with nice little linux-image-2.6.35_mykernel.1.0_amd64.deb ready to be installed (and removed latter) So my question is: Is there similar method of creating .rpm package for the kernel?
