Well, simply decompress it and put the binary where you find appropriate. Take one config file from an example in the sources or from many places on the net, adapt it to your needs and start haproxy with it. You'll probably have to play with the SMF mechanism on Solaris 10 to get your service to automatically start on boot. But I don't know how to do that.
